The idea for meltie was born of a group chat organizing a party bus to a Keinemusik show in New York. A few of us wanted to bring our specialty chocolates, but it was going to be ridiculously hot, and we knew they wouldn't hold up. One friend was still scraping the fossilized remains of a chocolate bar out of her crossbody from the weekend before. Why wasn't there a chic, easy solution? So meltie was born.

Drop 001 is the meltie pocket: a genuine leather, insulated sleeve for your temperature-sensitive treasures. Chocolate, gummies, your phone, beauty products, anything that deserves better than overheating at the bottom of your bag. And this is just the beginning. Founder Bio

Madeleine Frank Reeves is the founder of meltie, an accessory brand built on the belief that keeping your cool is the ultimate luxury. A Harvard graduate, writer, and self-proclaimed “recovering magazine editor,” she spent over a decade shaping the cultural conversation at some of the largest women’s media brands in the world, most recently as Deputy Editor at Cosmopolitan.

In her editorial roles, she scanned the entire marketplace of consumer products, developing a sharp instinct for what could cut through the noise and what truly deserved a spot on the page. She learned to recognize the intangible alchemy behind a great brand: the storytelling, the psychology, the functionality, and the feeling you instantly understand. meltie is what happens when that instinct is applied to a category overdue for something better.

She’s a little bit woo-woo and deeply serious about having fun. She lives in New York City with her husband and her pug, Olive.
